Some systems also take a percentage of every booking. With 3 million kroner in yearly bookings, a 1 % fee is 30 000 kr a year. With Gjestly: 0 kr.

Card payments for your guests are available from Growth up. The card acquirer (Stripe) deducts its ordinary card fees from each payment, as with all card payments; those do not go to us. The comparison that matters: OTA commission is typically 15 %, ordinary card fees around 2 %.

About VAT

All prices are quoted excl. VAT, with the incl. figure next to every price. If your guesthouse is VAT-registered you deduct the input VAT on the subscription in full (Norwegian VAT act, section 8-1). Your real cost is the excl. VAT price: 2 499 kr per month for Core (3 123,75 kr incl. VAT).

The Gjestly monthly price is the same in every combination: none of the packages here changes it. The packages are one-time amounts for activation and setup done for you. If you also want iBithun to run the website afterwards, that is a separate monthly price from iBithun, described under the table.

The two examples above are the same guesthouse built at both tiers, so you see the difference instead of guessing. Both tiers are the website itself, built and handed over. The Onboarding package comes on top and has its own price: that is what sets up the operation with rooms, prices, photos and training. A Klassisk website at 10 000 kr is a site handed over to you, not an operation up and running.

After handover you decide where the website lives. Put it with your own web host, or on a free plan you set up yourself, and iBithun delivers the website and invoices nothing further. Would you rather iBithun handled hosting, support and maintenance? That is 999 kr a month for Klassisk and 1 499 kr a month for Premium, excl. VAT (1 248,75 and 1 873,75 kr incl. VAT), and it covers everything. The domain is yours whichever route you take, and is paid where you registered it. This is iBithun running the website, and it is separate from the Gjestly subscription: neither one includes the other, and you can have one without the other.

Already have a website? Keep it. Your existing booking button sends guests to the booking page we set up. Would you rather have a new one? iBithun builds it, and it points the same way: both routes end at the same booking page.

From 1 January 2027, businesses subject to bookkeeping duties must send electronic invoices (EHF) to business customers registered in the ELMA registry. Guest invoices to private individuals are not covered. You can handle this yourself in your accounting system, or let us set up everything for you when the EHF package is ready, connected to Fiken.

The EHF package arrives before the law requires it.

We are honest about the launch price: the very first guesthouses take a chance on us. That is why getting started costs the least for those who go first. The launch prices apply to the three one-time prices (the Onboarding package, the Klassisk website and the Premium website), never to the monthly price. Instead, your monthly price is locked for 24 months.

The ladder is public and only descends: the earlier you start, the less you pay to get started. No exceptions after a window has closed.

The monthly price you start on is the price you pay for 24 months, no matter what happens to the price list. In writing. The lock carries no lock-in: you can still cancel at any time.

How the trial works

You create an account with a card and your organisation number, and we charge nothing. Then you set up rooms, prices, photos and texts in a simple wizard, at your own pace. The 14 day trial starts only when you publish your booking page. You get an email notice 7 and 3 days before the first charge, with a cancel link: if you continue, the subscription starts automatically, and if you cancel during the trial, it costs nothing.

Common questions about the price

What happens when the trial is over?

When the 14 days are up, the monthly subscription starts automatically on the card you registered. You get an email notice 7 and 3 days before the first charge, with a cancel link, and a confirmation on the day itself. If you cancel before the charge, with one click, you pay nothing.

When does the trial start?

When you publish your booking page, not when you sign up. Take your time with the setup; the trial days do not tick until you publish.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, you can upgrade at any time. Downgrades apply from the next billing period.

Is there a lock-in period?

No. Monthly agreement with no lock-in. The yearly plan is optional: it gives you 2 months free, not a lock.

If I leave, do I lose my data?

No. Bookings, guest register and invoices are yours, and you take them with you in a readable format.

Are there more fees on top?

No. No booking fee, no commission, no setup fee. Card payments for your guests are available from Growth up; the card acquirer (Stripe) then takes only its ordinary card fees, and those do not go to us.

What does it cost to refund a booking?

The guest gets the full amount back. The card fee that was deducted when the guest paid does not come back: the card acquirer (Stripe) keeps it, as it does with card payments generally. So a booking you refund in full costs you that fee, which is a percentage of the amount plus a fixed sum per payment. Gjestly takes nothing, neither on the booking nor on the refund.
