About Gjestly
Why Gjestly exists
Small Norwegian guesthouses pay tens of thousands of kroner a month in commission for guests who would gladly have booked directly. The available tools are either international systems without Norwegian invoicing, or booking calendars without a website.
Gjestly is built to fill that gap: one Norwegian system with your own website, direct booking, Norwegian VAT invoicing and the whole operation behind it, at a fixed price in kroner that is published on the page.

Norwegian roots
Gjestly is built in Norway for Norwegian guesthouses: Norwegian tax rules (12 % rooms, 25 % food), Norwegian support from the people who built the system, prices in NOK, and the 2027 EHF requirement taken seriously before the law requires it.
Honesty about size
Gjestly is a small vendor, and we are open about it. That gives you a direct line to the developer and fast iteration, and it is fair to ask what happens if we disappear. Three things protect you:
- Payments are handled by Stripe, the same payment infrastructure as much of European e-commerce, and we never see card data.
- Your data can be taken out at any time: bookings, guests and invoices in a readable format.
- No lock-in: you can leave at any time, without buying yourself free.
